Peshawar Zalmi Announces Player Replacement in PSL 10

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially announced a change to the Peshawar Zalmi squad on Friday for the ongoing tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL.

English fast bowler Luke Wood, initially recruited as a substitute for Nahid Rana, has now taken the place of South African player George Linde, who has gone back home due to family matters.

Previously, Linde was selected as a replacement for Corbin Bosch, who was reportedly considering withdrawing from his PSL contract to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with the Mumbai Indians.

At the time of this report, Peshawar Zalmi’s score was 53-3 while chasing a target of 144 runs, having lost the wickets of Mitchell Owen, Saim Ayub, and Mohammad Haris.

Wood has demonstrated impressive form in PSL 10, securing seven wickets across five games with an average of 19.42 and an economy rate of 7.15.

Under the leadership of Babar Azam, Peshawar Zalmi is currently in fifth position on the points table, with two victories and four defeats in six matches.
