PCB Announces Packed International Cricket Schedule

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is preparing for a busy international schedule. Chairman Mohsin Naqvi presided over a meeting at Gaddafi Stadium to discuss upcoming series and internal preparations.

Discussions during the session centered on central contracts, forthcoming home series against South Africa and Sri Lanka, and international tours to the West Indies and Bangladesh.

Chairman Naqvi instructed PCB officials to begin the process of finalizing central contracts and emphasized the importance of domestic participation for centrally contracted players.

Domestic Tournament Participation

Naqvi stated, “It is essential for all international players to participate in at least one domestic tournament.”

He further commented, “This will support the growth of young talent and ensure a robust domestic system that acts as a feeder for the national team.”

Director of International Cricket, Usman Wahla, updated attendees on the planning for future international matches.

Head Coach Mike Hesson, Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, Team Manager Naved Akram Cheema, Director of High Performance Centers Aaqib Javed, and national team captain Salman Agha also attended the meeting.

The board reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining a competitive domestic structure to develop high-quality players ready for international assignments.

Upcoming Tours and Series

Following a 3-0 T20I series victory against Bangladesh, the Men in Green will have a short break before traveling to Bangladesh next month for another three-match T20I series.

Sources indicate that the team will arrive in Dhaka on July 18, with matches scheduled for July 20, 22, and 24 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

After the Bangladesh tour, Pakistan will proceed to the Caribbean for a limited-overs series against the West Indies, including three ODIs and three T20Is from July 31 to August 12.

With the Asia Cup 2025’s location uncertain, Pakistan is anticipated to host South Africa in October–November for a series featuring both limited-overs and Test matches.

Sri Lanka will conclude the international season with a three-match ODI and T20I series against Pakistan in November.
