PCB Announces PSL Ticket Refund Process

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the process for refunding tickets for the ten Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches that were impacted by rescheduling in Rawalpindi and Multan. The refund process will commence on June 16.

Refund Dates and Locations

According to the announcement, refunds for the matches originally scheduled for May 5 and 10 in Multan, as well as the Qualifier match initially planned for Rawalpindi, will begin on June 16. The physical ticket refund process will be conducted at designated centers of a specific courier service and will continue until June 20, from 10 am to 4 pm daily.

How to Claim Refunds

The cricket board clarified that fans can obtain a cash refund by presenting their original, undamaged tickets along with the purchaser’s national identity card (CNIC). The courier company’s staff will verify these documents. For tickets purchased online, the refund amount will be credited directly to the account used for the initial transaction. Therefore, online ticket holders do not need to visit the designated refund centers.

Background

Notably, eight PSL 10 matches were rescheduled last month due to regional tensions. Consequently, tickets for the matches on May 8, 9, and 10—Peshawar Zalmi versus Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi versus Lahore Qalandars, and Islamabad United versus Karachi Kings, respectively—were deemed valid for the rescheduled dates of May 17, 18, and 19.

The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium hosted a doubleheader on May 18, allowing fans with tickets from May 9 to attend both games. Likewise, fans holding tickets for Eliminator 1 and 2, as well as the final, were permitted to use their existing tickets on the revised dates for those matches.
