Pakistan ODI Squad to Depart for Trinidad and Tobago Tonight
LAUDERHILL: Following a dominant 2-1 series triumph against West Indies, three members of Pakistan’s T20I team will commence their journey back to Pakistan.
Sources indicate that Khushdil Shah, Haris Rauf, and Sahibzada Farhan are scheduled to depart for Pakistan, while Fakhar Zaman, the top-order batsman who was sidelined due to injury, will leave tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the 15-member Pakistan squad designated for the ODI series against the West Indies is slated to leave for Trinidad and Tobago later tonight.
The three ODI matches are scheduled to take place at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy on August 8, 10, and 12, respectively.
The Green Shirts clinched the T20I series against West Indies with a thrilling 13-run victory in the third and final match.
After electing to bat first, the visitors posted a competitive total of 189/4 in their allotted 20 overs, spearheaded by openers Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub.
Farhan was the top scorer for Pakistan, scoring 74 off 53 balls, while Ayub contributed 66 from 49 deliveries. The pair also forged a 138-run opening partnership.
In response, the hosts managed to score 176/6 despite half-centuries from Alick Athanaze and Sherfane Rutherford.
For Pakistan, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Nawaz, Ayub, and Sufiyan Muqeem each claimed one wicket.
