Pakistan T20 Squad Arrives in Dubai for Pre-Series Training
The initial contingent of Pakistan’s T20 team has landed in Dubai. The squad will be arriving in four separate groups to participate in a training camp prior to the Tri-Nation Series and the 2025 Asia Cup.
The national team is scheduled to commence its training sessions at the ICC Academy on August 21. The camp will continue until August 27. These sessions are designed to get the team ready for consecutive international matches in the UAE.
The Tri-Nation Series, which includes Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the UAE, will be hosted at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium from August 29 to September 7.
Pakistan is set to begin its campaign with a match against Afghanistan. Each team will face the others twice, with the top two teams advancing to the final on September 7.
Following the Tri-Nation Series, Pakistan will shift its focus to the 2025 Asia Cup, scheduled to begin on September 9 with a match between Afghanistan and Hong Kong.
Eight teams, divided into two groups, will compete for the trophy.
Pakistan has been drawn into Group A along with India, UAE, and Oman. Group B consists of Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong.
The team will begin its Asia Cup journey against Oman on September 12, followed by a match against India on September 14. Their final group match will be against the UAE on September 17.
