Young Pakistani squash athletes delivered outstanding performances at the Australian Junior Open, clinching four championship titles across diverse age brackets. Additionally, another player reached a final, putting up a strong fight for the win.

Girls U17 and U13 Triumphs

In the Girls U17 final, Mehwish Ali showcased her skill by defeating Eden-Alma Poulava in straight sets with scores of 11-5, 11-5, and 11-7 in a swift 12-minute match. Her younger sister, Mahnoor Ali, secured the Girls U13 title, triumphing over Riyo Kawabata with scores of 11-2, 11-5, and 11-6 in just 13 minutes.

Girls U15 Final

However, Sehrish Ali, their sister, experienced a setback in the Girls U15 final, narrowly losing to Emily Senior in a gripping five-game match with scores of 15-13, 5-11, 12-10, 6-11, and 11-4, following a 22-minute intense showdown.

Boys U17 and U11 Victories

On the boys’ side, Azan Ali Khan dominated the Boys U17 category, securing a decisive 3-0 victory over Henry Kross with scores of 11-6, 11-4, and 11-9 in 23 minutes. Moreover, Ahmed Ali Naz emerged victorious in the Boys U11 final, defeating Freddie Goldsmith in four games with scores of 5-11, 11-2, 11-6, and 11-6.
