Pakistan Achieves Historic Victory at Asian Science Camp 2025

Pakistani students have made history by securing two gold medals and one silver medal at the prestigious Asian Science Camp 2025, held in Thailand. The eight-member team represented Pakistan with groundbreaking innovations and creative solutions, competing against top talent from across Asia.

From Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, Ali Afzal Muhammad won a gold medal in Innovation and Technology for creating an advanced sleep pod. This invention delivers the equivalent of ten hours of restful sleep in just two hours, offering a revolutionary solution for sleep-deprived individuals.

From Bolan Medical College, Malik Shahabuddin Syed earned another gold medal in Sustainability by presenting three highly effective solutions to protect marine life. His innovative environmental strategies impressed judges and set a benchmark for sustainable development.

From NUST University, Hasher Ishaq secured a silver medal for his microchip concept that, once implanted in the human body, activates the immune system to eliminate viruses instantly. This futuristic approach to healthcare gained global attention for its potential to combat infectious diseases.

Additionally, Ahmad Faseeh from Shalamar Medical College Lahore, received an honorary award in the Innovation and Technology category for his outstanding contribution.

The selection process for the Pakistani team involved nationwide tests and interviews, ensuring only the most talented minds represented the country. Competing against 50 teams from different countries, the Pakistani team’s projects made it to the Top 10 before advancing to the final stage, where the gold and silver medal winners were decided.

This achievement marks Pakistan’s biggest-ever success in any international science competition. Over the six-day camp, participants attended lectures from world-renowned scientists and Nobel Prize winners, gaining exposure to cutting-edge research and global scientific trends.
