Pakistan to Face West Indies in T20I and ODI Series
Cricket West Indies (CWI) is preparing to host Pakistan for a three-match T20I series. The initial match is slated for Friday at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill.
The West Indies team is anticipated to have one alteration from their recent five-match T20I series against Australia, which concluded with a 5-0 defeat.
After competing in two matches against Australia in the shorter format, veteran all-rounder Andre Russell has declared his retirement. Keacy Carty, a right-handed batter, is expected to take his place.
Historically, Pakistan holds a significant advantage in head-to-head records between these teams.
In 21 T20I matches, Pakistan has emerged victorious 15 times, while West Indies has only managed three wins. Three matches concluded without a result.
This series marks Pakistan’s third consecutive T20I series, preceded by a 3-0 victory over Bangladesh at home in May and a 2-1 series loss against the same team in Bangladesh.
Following the first T20I, the remaining two matches of the series will also be held at the same venue on August 2 and 3.
The tour will then proceed to the ODI segment, with matches scheduled at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago on August 8, 10, and 12.
