Pakistan Shaheens Clash with Professional County Club Select XI in One-Day Series
BECKENHAM: In the opening game of the three-match One-Day series at Kent County Cricket Ground on Tuesday, the Professional County Club Select XI won the toss and chose to bat first against Pakistan Shaheens.

Following their tour of Darwin, Australia, last year, the Shaheens have a full schedule ahead this year.
Darwin Tour Details:
- During their time in Darwin, the Shaheens took part in the Top End T20 Series, which included Big Bash League (BBL) teams Melbourne Renegades and Adelaide Strikers, as well as the Bangladesh High-Performance XI.
Recent Appearances:
- Most recently, in February, the PCB fielded three separate teams for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 warm-up games.
- On February 14, the first Shaheens team played Afghanistan at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and won decisively by 144 runs.
- The other two games were held simultaneously on February 17, one in Karachi against South Africa and the other in Dubai against Bangladesh.
Match Results:
- The Mohammad Haris-led team defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets with 91 balls remaining, while the Mohammad Huraira-led team lost to South Africa by a slim margin of three wickets. South Africa went on to the semi-finals of the eight-team tournament.
