Gold Prices Decline in Pakistan Amid Global Downturn

On Wednesday, gold rates in Pakistan experienced a downturn, mirroring losses observed in the international market. The price of gold per tola in the local market settled at Rs358,100, reflecting a decrease of Rs200 throughout the day’s trading.

According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold reached Rs307,013, after declining by Rs171.

On the preceding day, Tuesday, the cost of gold per tola had reached Rs358,300, following a reduction of Rs500 during that day.

The international gold rate also saw a drop today. The rate stood at $3,354 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $2 decrease, according to APGJSA.

Conversely, the price of silver per tola saw an increase of Rs59, climbing to Rs4,072.
