Gold Prices Surge in Pakistan

On Thursday, gold rates in Pakistan experienced an uptick, mirroring gains observed in the international market. The price of gold per tola in the local market escalated to Rs362,200, marking a single-day increase of Rs2,900.

According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the cost of 10-gram gold reached Rs310,528, reflecting a rise of Rs2,487.

The previous day, Wednesday, the price per tola had climbed to Rs359,300, which included a gain of Rs1,300 during that session.

Globally, gold prices also demonstrated an upward trend. The international gold rate stood at $3,395 per ounce (including a premium of $20), representing a $29 increase, as reported by APGJSA.

In related news, the price of silver per tola saw an increase of Rs49, settling at Rs4,059.
