Oil Marketing Companies Sales Surge in April 2025
Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in Pakistan witnessed a notable increase in sales, recording 1.46 million tons in April 2025. This represents a 32% surge compared to the sales volume in the corresponding month of the previous year, as highlighted in a report.
On a month-over-month comparison, OMC sales demonstrated a 20% growth in April, escalating from 1.22 million tons recorded in March 2025.
The upswing in sales aligns with heightened demand, mirroring the resurgence in economic activities across the nation.
According to the report, the cumulative sales for the initial ten months of the ongoing fiscal year (10MFY25) reached 13.22 million tons, indicating a 6% year-on-year (YoY) climb compared to the 12.44 million tons recorded in 10MFY24.
Product-Specific Sales Performance
Motor Spirit (MS) sales experienced a 24% YoY and 14% MoM increase, reaching 660k tons in April 2025. Similarly, High-Speed Diesel (HSD) sales expanded by 33% YoY and 28% MoM, totaling 620k tons during the same period. Furnace Oil (FO) sales for April 2025 showcased a remarkable surge, growing by 182% YoY and 55% MoM to 80k tons.
Company-Wise Sales Figures
Analyzing data from listed entities reveals that Attock Petroleum (APL) achieved sales of 130K tons in April 2025, marking a 28% YoY and 20% MoM increase, primarily driven by enhanced FO and HSD sales.
Pakistan State Oil (PSO) reported a 12% YoY and 22% MoM increase, reaching 620K tons in April 2025.
Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited (WAFI) observed a 23% YoY and 14% MoM rise, reaching 100K tons.
HASCOL sales were recorded at 50k tons, indicating a 76% YoY increase but a 4% MoM decrease.
