Gold Prices Drop in Pakistan Amid Global Downturn

On Saturday, gold prices in Pakistan experienced a reduction, mirroring a similar trend observed in the international market. The price of gold per tola in the local market settled at Rs347,200, representing a decrease of Rs1,400 throughout the day’s trading.

According to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold also declined, reaching Rs297,668 after a reduction of Rs1,200.

The previous day, Friday, saw the per tola gold price at Rs348,600, following a Rs700 decrease.

Internationally, the precious metal also saw a downturn on Saturday, with the rate falling to $3,288 per ounce (including a $20 premium), which is $14 lower, according to APGJSA.

Furthermore, the price of silver per tola also experienced a decrease, falling by Rs24 to reach Rs3,456.
