Gold Prices Plunge in Pakistan Amid Global Downtrend

On Tuesday, Pakistan’s gold market experienced a notable decline, mirroring losses observed in the international market. The price of gold per tola in the local market settled at Rs354,365, reflecting a substantial decrease of Rs3,800 during the day’s trading.

According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold reached Rs303,810, marking a reduction of Rs3,258.

Previously, on Monday, the per tola gold price was recorded at Rs358,165, following a modest drop of Rs300.

The international gold rate also saw a decrease. APGJSA reported the rate at $3,327 per ounce (including a premium of $20), which is a $39 decrease.

In related news, the price of silver per tola also fell, dropping by Rs9 to settle at Rs3,790.
