Gold Prices Fall in Pakistan Amid Global Downturn
The price of gold in Pakistan experienced a reduction on Wednesday, mirroring a similar trend observed in the international market. In the local bullion market, the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs2,300, settling at Rs341,900.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold reached Rs293,124, representing a decrease of Rs1,972.
On the preceding Tuesday, the per tola price of gold had reached Rs344,200, following an increase of Rs3,700 during the day’s trading.
The international gold rate also saw a decline on Wednesday. Data from APGJSA indicated the rate was $3,235 per ounce (including a premium of $20), marking a $23 decrease for the day.
