Gold Prices Decline in Pakistan Amid International Market Downturn
On Thursday, gold rates in Pakistan experienced a downturn, mirroring the declines observed in the global market. The price of gold per tola in the local market has settled at Rs359,000, representing a decrease of Rs5,900 throughout the day.
According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the cost of 10 grams of gold was Rs307,784, reflecting a reduction of Rs5,058.
On the preceding day, Wednesday, the price of gold per tola had risen to Rs364,900, after an increase of Rs3,700 during the day’s trading.
Internationally, gold prices also saw a decrease on Thursday. The APGJSA reported the rate as $3,363 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $61 drop.
Concurrently, the price of silver per tola also fell, decreasing by Rs24 to conclude at Rs4,057.
