Pakistan Secures Medals at Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship

Pakistan’s athletes delivered a notable performance at the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2025, held in Amman, Jordan. Muhammad Yousuf and Umar Yaseen clinched two silver medals in the U21 category on the competition’s concluding day.

The talented duo earned their silver medals in the Duo and Show Men categories, underscoring their skill and collaborative efforts.

Close Contest in U21 Duo Event

In the U21 Duo event, they faced a narrow defeat against competitors from Thailand in the final match. Earlier, they had triumphed over Vietnam in the semi-final before encountering the Thai team again in the final.

Previous Success

This year’s achievement holds particular significance as both Yousuf and Yaseen had previously secured gold in the U18 category at the 2024 championship. Their transition to the U21 division showcased their growth and adaptability, leading them to a silver medal against some of Asia’s best athletes.

Championship Details

The championship saw participation from over 800 athletes representing 27 countries. Pakistan concluded the event with a total of six medals across various categories: one gold, two silver, and three bronze.
