Pakistan Launches National Dredging and Marine Services Company

Pakistan has established its first National Dredging and Marine Services (NDMS) firm through a collaborative effort. The Port Qasim Authority, Karachi Port Trust, Gwadar Port Authority, and National Logistics Corporation (NLC) are all partners in this initiative, according to an official announcement made on Wednesday.

The core objective of this venture is to deliver economical and sustainable solutions tailored to the dredging needs of Pakistani ports.

The company is scheduled to commence its operational activities with the capital dredging of Port Qasim, starting in October 2025.

By fostering domestic dredging expertise, NDMS is anticipated to boost self-sufficiency, ensure continuous operations, and promote the long-term expansion of the maritime sector, as stated in the release.
