DAZHOU: Pakistan’s Under-18 hockey team secured a place in the Asia Cup 2025 final after a hard-fought semifinal victory against Malaysia. The match took place at the National Hockey Training Centre on Friday, with Pakistan emerging victorious after a penalty shootout.

During the shootout, Malaysia faltered on two attempts, while Pakistan missed only one. This allowed the Green Shirts to claim a 4-3 win and secure their spot in the final match.

Earlier in the competition, Pakistan showcased impressive form, starting with a dominant 8-0 victory over Hong Kong. They followed this with a convincing 9-0 win against Sri Lanka.
In their third match, the team defeated Bangladesh 6-3, solidifying their position in the semifinals.
Pakistan then overcame China with a 2-1 victory in the quarterfinals, earning their place in the final four.
The Green Shirts are now set to compete against Japan in the tournament final on Sunday at the same venue.
