Pak Suzuki Increases Vehicle Prices After Federal Budget 2025-26
Following Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC), Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has recently announced an increase in its vehicle prices in Pakistan. This adjustment follows the introduction of revisions in the Federal Budget 2025-26, which includes a newly implemented NEV [New Energy Vehicle] levy on vehicle sales.
In a circular released on Wednesday, PSMC stated that the price revision is solely reflective of the increase in government-imposed taxes and levies, clarifying that the hike in financial economic costs has not been transferred to consumers.
Effective July 1, 2025, the NEV levy, which was introduced in the Finance Act 2025, is now applicable to all internal combustion engine motor vehicles and motorcycles, leading to a substantial increase in prices.
Pakistan’s NEV policy is advancing with a Rs100 billion subsidy.
The NEV levy encompasses all vehicle categories, ranging from basic motorcycles to luxury SUVs.
Exemptions under the policy include new energy vehicles (electric and hybrid cars), vehicles manufactured exclusively for export, diplomatic mission vehicles, and vehicles belonging to international organizations with diplomatic privileges.
According to PSMC’s notification to dealers, the revised retail prices, which take effect on July 1, 2025, show an increase exceeding Rs186,000.

The Alto VXL AGS is among the most affected models, now priced at Rs3.32 million, which represents an increase of Rs186,446. The VXR and VXR AGS variants are now priced at Rs2.99 million and Rs3.17 million, after increases of Rs167,861 and Rs177,480, respectively.
The Cultus VXR has seen a substantial rise of Rs40,490, bringing its new price to Rs4.08 million. The VXL and AGS variants are now available at Rs4.36 million and Rs4.59 million, respectively.
In the Swift series, the price of the GLX CVT has increased by Rs47,190, resulting in a revised retail price of Rs4.76 million. The GL MT and GL CVT variants of the Swift are now priced at Rs4.46 million and Rs4.60 million, respectively, following the latest revision.
Every VX and VXR experienced price hikes of Rs163,230 and Rs166,200, respectively. The Ravi variants have seen increases of Rs18,810 and Rs19,560.
PSMC clarified that the updated prices are inclusive of FED, Sales Tax, and NEV Levy, but do not include Advance Income Tax.
