PTA Introduces Temporary Mobile Registration System for Visitors
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched a Temporary Mobile Registration System to enable international travelers and overseas Pakistanis to utilize their personal mobile phones while in Pakistan, according to an official statement.
According to a press release from the regulatory body, visitors can register their personal mobile devices for a maximum of 120 days under this scheme. This service will be available on each visit to Pakistan.
This user-focused system seeks to provide travelers with consistent mobile connectivity, thereby facilitating communication during their time in Pakistan.
The entire registration procedure is digitized and free of charge, and it can be accessed through the official Device Registration System portal at: https://dirbs.pta.gov.pk/drs.
The announcement further stated that PTA is dedicated to providing effective, cutting-edge, and inclusive services that emphasize user needs.
