Oil Tanker Explosion in Noshki Claims Life, Injures Dozens
In Balochistan’s Noshki district, a devastating incident occurred on Monday when an oil tanker exploded after catching fire, resulting in the death of the driver and burn injuries to over 40 individuals, according to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amjad Hussain.
The deputy commissioner stated that 26 individuals in critical condition were transported to Quetta via an air ambulance arranged by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti.
Law enforcement authorities reported that the oil-filled tanker was parked at a depot in Noshki when welding operations ignited a blaze. The driver, in an attempt to avert a more significant catastrophe, steered the burning vehicle from the terminal towards an open area.

A government spokesperson mentioned, citing reports, that over 30 individuals suffered burn injuries in the unfortunate event.
The spokesperson further noted that “The intense fire also caused damage to a fire brigade vehicle,” adding that hospitals in Quetta have declared an emergency to provide care for the injured.
Describing the incident as “tragic,” the spokesperson stated that investigations are currently underway to ascertain the cause of the fire.
