Nahid Rana Joins Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 10

LAHORE: Bangladeshi pace bowler Nahid Rana arrived in Lahore on Sunday night to become part of Peshawar Zalmi for the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10.

Zalmi welcomed Rana with a video shared on their social media, showing the player arriving at the team hotel.

While Rana is yet to debut for Bangladesh in international T20 matches, the right-arm fast bowler has played 17 T20 games, securing 14 wickets.

This will be Rana’s second experience in a league, having previously participated in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) representing Khulna Tigers and Rangpur Riders.

Peshawar Zalmi, under the leadership of Babar Azam, currently holds the fourth position in the PSL 10 standings, with two victories and three defeats in their five matches.

Zalmi recently clinched their second win in a thrilling, low-scoring game, highlighted by impressive performances from captain Babar Azam and Hussain Talat.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars were bowled out for a total of 129 runs in 19.2 overs, with Sikandar Raza leading the score with 52 runs off 37 balls, including five fours and three sixes.

Alzarri Joseph shone as Zalmi’s bowler, taking three wickets, while Luke Wood and Hussain Talat each took two wickets.

Peshawar successfully reached the target in 16.4 overs, propelled by crucial innings from Babar Azam (56 off 42 balls) and Hussain Talat (51 off 37 balls).

Peshawar Zalmi is scheduled to play their sixth tournament match against Quetta Gladiators on Sunday at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
