Milne Ruled Out of PSL 10 Due to Injury

Karachi Kings have encountered a setback in their PSL 10 campaign as New Zealand’s fast bowler Adam Milne is now out of the tournament because of a knee injury.

Milne sustained the injury during Karachi’s second match this season against Lahore Qalandars on April 15. Despite initial hopes for recovery while staying with the team, medical assessments have determined that the right-arm bowler won’t be able to return this season.

The Karachi Kings administration conveyed their appreciation to Milne for his contributions and wished him a swift and full recovery. Before being sidelined, Milne participated in two matches.

As his replacement, Karachi Kings have enlisted the promising Saad Baig for the remainder of the competition. Baig, who also leads Pakistan’s Under-19 team, had previously joined the squad temporarily, stepping in for Kane Williamson.

The left-handed batsman has already shown promise, playing in a couple of games and accumulating 29 runs, which included a rapid innings against Islamabad United.

Even with the absence of their key international bowler, the Kings maintain a favorable position in the standings, currently holding the second spot with three victories out of five games.

Karachi started their season impressively, successfully chasing down a target of 235 runs against Multan Sultans.

This was followed by a dominant 56-run victory against Quetta Gladiators and a close win against Peshawar Zalmi. Their only losses thus far have been against Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United.
