Sesko Joins Manchester United in Deal Until 2030

Manchester United has officially secured the services of Slovenian forward Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, a German football club. The agreement, finalized on Saturday, commits Sesko to the team through 2030.

Sesko’s move to Leipzig occurred in 2023 from RB Salzburg, an Austrian club. Throughout his time with the German side, he participated in 87 matches and successfully scored 39 goals across all competitions.

The Slovenian international shared his deep respect for Manchester United’s heritage and his enthusiasm for the opportunities ahead.

He noted that discussions surrounding the transfer highlighted a collective understanding of the team’s considerable developmental potential.

Sesko’s Statement

“Manchester United’s history carries immense significance, but the future is what truly captivates me,” Sesko commented.

“The vision presented during project discussions made it evident that all necessary components are present for the team’s continued progress and renewed contention for major titles soon.”

Following a 15th-place finish in the previous Premier League season, Manchester United has also recruited forwards Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. The new season is scheduled to commence with a home game against Arsenal on August 17.

Sesko further expressed his perception of a supportive atmosphere within the club and his conviction that it provides an ideal setting to achieve his aspirations.

“From my arrival, I immediately sensed the positive energy and familial spirit cultivated by the club. It’s undoubtedly the optimal environment for maximizing my capabilities and realizing all my ambitions,” Sesko stated.

“I am eager to start learning from Ruben [Amorim] and working alongside my teammates to attain the success we collectively believe we are capable of achieving.”

The 22-year-old has accumulated significant achievements throughout his career, including 41 appearances and 16 goals for Slovenia since becoming the nation’s youngest debutant in 2021.
