Liverpool Rejects Bayern Munich’s Bid for Luis Diaz

Reports indicate that Liverpool has turned down Bayern Munich’s offer of €67.5 million for Luis Diaz, according to international media outlets on Tuesday.

Despite the rejection, the German club believes the Colombian winger is interested in joining their ranks and has returned with a renewed offer for the 28-year-old.

Sources suggest that Luis Diaz remains a primary target for Bayern, with the club allegedly preparing to submit an improved proposal.

Should the German side proceed with a fresh offer, Liverpool will face another crucial decision. However, the club’s position has remained consistent throughout the summer transfer window.

Since his arrival from Porto in January 2022, Diaz has become an integral component of the Liverpool squad. The previous season marked Díaz’s most productive spell with Liverpool, as he scored 17 goals across all competitions. He was also instrumental in Liverpool’s title-winning performance, where they secured a comfortable 10-point lead at the top.

Liverpool is unwilling to part ways with the 28-year-old and is discouraging further offers.

Speculation suggests that Bayern is prepared to present Diaz with a contract spanning at least four years.

Earlier in the summer, Diaz was also linked with a move to Barcelona. However, Liverpool promptly dismissed any interest from the Spanish outfit.

Club insiders have emphasized that the winger is a key component of their plans for future seasons, especially after his standout performance last season.

Even with only two years remaining on his current contract, Liverpool is firm in its resolve to retain Diaz, despite continued interest from prominent clubs, including Manchester City and teams within the Saudi Pro League.
