Rhea Ripley Condemns Fans’ Reaction to Liv Morgan’s Injury
Former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has voiced her disapproval of fans who celebrated Liv Morgan’s recent injury, labeling their actions as ‘disgusting behavior’.
During the June 16 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan sustained a legitimate shoulder injury, raising concerns about her upcoming storylines and title defense.
In a singles match against Kairi Sane, Morgan was injured early on. As Sane was kneeling, Morgan approached her, and Sane executed a single-leg takedown. Morgan landed awkwardly, resulting in an immediate injury to her right shoulder. She vocalized her pain and exited the ring as the referee intervened.
After a commercial break, commentator Michael Cole reported that Morgan had suffered a real shoulder injury, leading to the match being stopped.
Reports indicate that Morgan received an evaluation backstage, and WWE is awaiting further information on the extent of her injury before providing an update on her potential return.
Rhea Ripley, a significant rival of Liv Morgan, has stepped forward to support her, urging fans to refrain from celebrating the injury.
“PSA. Don’t celebrate an injury. Disgusting behavior. Don’t be like them,” Ripley posted on X.
Last year, Morgan and Ripley were involved in an intense rivalry, primarily focusing on the WWE Women’s World Championship and Dominik Mysterio’s allegiance.
