Motorcyclist Survives Fall into Rain-Filled Pit in Lahore

A motorcyclist in Lahore’s Shahdara Town area had a close call, escaping serious injury after driving into a deep pit filled with rainwater.

The incident took place in Rasul Park, an area where rainwater had gathered due to ongoing sewerage construction.

CCTV footage revealed the moment the individual, riding a motorcycle, inadvertently plunged into the water-filled, open excavation site upon leaving his residence. The footage was released on Tuesday.

Area residents quickly responded, rescuing the motorcyclist from the pit and averting a potential drowning.

Despite the passing of several days since the rainfall, significant amounts of standing water persist in various parts of Shahdara Town, including Muslim Park and Hasnain Colony.

Rajput Park, Chand Khan Shaheed Chowk, Siraj Park, and Pracha Colony are among the other locations facing similar problems. Stagnant water has also been observed on Jhularan Road, Haq Bahu Road, Raheem Bakhsh Road, Bukhari Park, and the surrounding vicinities, creating continued challenges for local inhabitants.
