Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, has voiced serious concerns about the deteriorating education system in the province, particularly in its underprivileged regions. He emphasized that the current state of education is far from satisfactory and requires immediate attention.

Speaking at a recent event, Kundi underscored that education is the key to prosperity and progress. He stressed that providing quality education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is no longer an option but a necessity for the region’s growth.

Government’s Budget Allocation Not Delivering Expected Results

The governor revealed that despite allocating a significant budget of PKR 300 billion for education, the outcomes remain below expectations. He criticized the provincial government for prioritizing marketing campaigns over real educational reforms.

“Every year, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government launches an enrollment campaign, but in reality, it is nothing more than a publicity stunt,” Kundi remarked.

Concerns Over Mismanagement of Funds

Earlier, Kundi had also accused the KP government of misusing funds meant for counter-terrorism efforts. He highlighted the need for transparency in financial management to ensure funds are allocated for the right purposes.

Investment and Employment Opportunities for Youth

During another event in Islamabad, Faisal Karim Kundi assured that his doors are always open for investors. He emphasized the importance of empowering the youth, as they represent the future of Pakistan.

“Our young generation is full of talent and potential. They are second to none in hard work and intelligence,” Kundi said, expressing his hopes for better employment opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Path Forward

Governor Kundi reiterated his commitment to improving the education sector in KP, urging policymakers and stakeholders to take necessary steps for reform. He emphasized that only through education can the region break free from poverty and move towards sustainable development.
