Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, has dismissed the allegations that the government had offered to move Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan to his Bani Gala residence from Adiala Jail. Speaking to the media, Asif called the rumors “unfounded” and criticized the PTI for promoting destructive politics that hindered the country’s progress.
Asif further condemned Imran Khan’s call for overseas Pakistanis to stop sending remittances, labeling it as an irresponsible move. The minister highlighted that the economic situation in the country was steadily improving, citing positive indicators and the restoration of flight operations to Europe as part of efforts to boost the national economy.
The Defence Minister’s comments came amid ongoing political tensions, with the PTI’s persistent challenges to the ruling government. Asif emphasized the need for political stability in Pakistan, underscoring that the country’s future hinges on resolving internal conflicts and focusing on economic growth.
