Khan Academy Pakistan Partners with Akhuwat to Pilot AI Teaching Assistant
Khan Academy Pakistan has formalized an agreement with Akhuwat, a prominent nonprofit educational organization, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The collaboration aims to introduce Khanmigo, Khan Academy’s AI-driven educational tool, in Akhuwat’s educational institutions.
The official signing was conducted by Dr. Amjad Saqib, the founder and chairperson of Akhuwat, alongside Zeeshan Hasan, the CEO of Khan Academy Pakistan. This alliance signifies a substantial advancement in utilizing artificial intelligence to bolster educators and elevate student performance within Pakistan’s classrooms.
Zeeshan Hasan remarked, “Khanmigo is crafted to aid instructors in delivering personalized instruction. We are eager to join forces with Akhuwat to assess its capabilities within the context of Pakistani education.”
As part of the pilot initiative, instructors at Akhuwat schools will be provided with the requisite training to effectively integrate Khanmigo into their daily instructional practices. This integration will streamline lesson preparation and foster enhanced teaching methodologies. Khan Academy Pakistan will offer localized assistance, instructional sessions, and performance monitoring throughout the duration of the program.
Dr. Amjad Saqib commented, “This collaboration underscores our mutual dedication to pioneering approaches in education. By harnessing the power of AI, we can empower educators with state-of-the-art resources to enrich educational experiences.”
The accomplishment of this pilot endeavor has the potential to pave the way for a broader implementation of Khanmigo across various educational networks in Pakistan, furthering Khan Academy Pakistan’s objective of ensuring equitable access to superior educational opportunities.
