KATI President Meets UAE Consul General to Bolster Trade Ties

KARACHI: Junaid Naqi, serving as the President of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), recently engaged in discussions with Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remeithi, the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi. The meeting focused on reinforcing trade relations and fostering transparent business practices between Pakistan and the UAE.

During their dialogue, both leaders concurred on the necessity of strengthening existing economic bonds between the two nations.

Junaid Naqi highlighted the significance of encouraging formal trade routes to guarantee openness in financial dealings and cultivate greater confidence among investors. He also pointed out the considerable potential for trade volume expansion between Pakistan and the UAE. Naqi emphasized that such advancement would depend on all participants adhering to ethical business conduct and global benchmarks. He stated, “We encourage Pakistani merchants to utilize official channels for commerce to enhance Pakistan’s international reputation and boost investor assurance.”

UAE Consul General Dr. Al-Remeithi assured the Pakistani business sector of the UAE’s dedication to aiding Pakistani investors. He underscored the pressing requirement to institute a structured and clear trade system to encourage enduring economic partnership.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to investigate novel trade prospects, enable exchanges of business delegations, and coordinate joint commercial activities with the goal of revitalizing bilateral economic connections. Both parties also decided to commence collaborative initiatives soon to stimulate commerce between Pakistan and the UAE.
