Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, has highlighted the urgent need for the world to awaken to the ongoing plight of Kashmiris. Speaking on Kashmir Solidarity Day, he stressed that the international community must play a more active role in addressing the Kashmir issue and ensuring justice for the people of Kashmir.

He reminded the world that Pakistan’s 240 million citizens stand united with the people of occupied Kashmir, expressing solidarity and unwavering support. “We are with you,” Ilyas stated, emphasizing the bond shared between the people of Pakistan and Kashmiris in their fight for self-determination.

Sardar Ilyas reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the Kashmir cause, stating, “We are Pakistanis, and Pakistan is our home,” reinforcing the nation’s unbreakable support for the Kashmiri people. This declaration underlined the deep emotional and political connection that ties Pakistan’s destiny with Kashmir, despite the ongoing challenges in the region.

A Call for Global Accountability and Justice

The former Prime Minister’s message was clear: the world must do more to address the human rights violations and the unjust occupation of Kashmir.
