Karachi Weather Update: Humidity Persists, Rainfall Expected
Following a period of wet weather last week, Karachi is again experiencing a rise in temperature, resulting in prevailing hot and humid conditions across the region.
However, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released a new weather advisory, anticipating further rainfall in Sindh, including Karachi, in the days ahead.
Monsoon Winds and Rainfall Predictions
PMD representative Anjum Nazeer stated that monsoon winds have started entering the southeastern parts of Sindh, increasing the likelihood of rainfall in various districts. Regions such as Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, Mithi, and adjacent areas are expected to receive rainfall from July 2 to July 5.
Karachi Forecast
The forecast for Karachi indicates primarily cloudy and humid weather, with a chance of light rain or drizzle during this time. The PMD also mentioned that moderate rainfall is probable in the city between July 8 and 11, as the monsoon system progresses.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed and adhere to official weather updates, especially in areas susceptible to water accumulation and traffic disturbances during heavy rains. Authorities may issue additional advisories as the situation develops.
The recent rains had provided a brief relief from the heat, causing a temporary drop in temperatures. Since the end of the rainy spell on Sunday, however, the city has seen a resurgence of high temperatures and increased humidity.
