Karachi Braces for Continued Monsoon Rains
Chief Meteorologist Amir Haider Laghari stated on Wednesday that Karachi is anticipated to experience monsoon rains until August 23.
During an appearance on a news program, Laghari mentioned the likelihood of additional rainfall in the metropolis on Thursday.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has indicated that strong monsoon currents are impacting the majority of Sindh province.
Various areas of Karachi experienced rainfall of varying intensity, with thunder reported in some locations, and consistent downpours throughout the day in others.
The meteorological authority has cautioned that the city may face more rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning on the horizon. Moderate rainfall is expected in most areas, with the potential for heavy downpours in certain spots.
The PMD has further communicated that the current monsoon system is set to influence Karachi and other regions of Sindh until August 23.
