Overnight rainfall was also documented in different regions of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Several cities in Punjab, including Multan, Faisalabad, Jhang, Lodhran, Pakpattan, Kamalia, Chichawatni, Jahaniyan, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, and Kabirwala, experienced substantial rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and powerful gusts in some areas.
In Lodhran, several roads faced inundation, and power outages affected various areas.
Kabirwala and its surrounding areas witnessed strong winds and substantial rainfall, which resulted in a temperature decrease but also triggered power disruptions in specific areas.

Lahore experienced widespread rainfall in areas such as Township, Johar Town, Model Town, Ferozepur Road, Akbar Chowk, and Peco Morr.

Weather Forecast and Cyclone Update
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) indicated that maximum temperatures would range between 32°C and 35°C, with minimum temperatures hovering around 26°C to 28°C.
The PMD reported high morning humidity, potentially reaching 80 per cent, which is expected to decline to between 40 per cent and 70 per cent in the evening.
The Met Office stated that Severe Cyclonic Storm Shakti has continued its trajectory away from the Pakistani coast, advancing west-south-westward over the Arabian Sea and currently located approximately 800km south-west of Karachi.
While the cyclone presents no immediate danger to Sindh’s coastline, it is expected to maintain humid and slightly unstable weather conditions along coastal districts for the next few days. The Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre anticipates Shakti to move further south-west today before curving eastwards over the west-central and north-west Arabian Sea within a half-day, gradually weakening into a cyclonic storm.
Meteorologists noted a steady decline in the cyclone’s intensity; however, its circulation continues to influence regional weather patterns. Isolated light rainfall is expected along the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan due to its current influence.
Sea conditions are anticipated to be rough to very rough, with squally winds between 40km and 50km per hour, potentially gusting up to 55km near the Sindh coast. Fishermen are strongly advised against venturing into deep seawaters.
Authorities are advising coastal residents to avoid unnecessary sea travel, exercise caution, and heed PMD advisories as the system weakens and dissipates over the Arabian Sea.
