BIEK Postpones Intermediate Exams for 2025

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has declared a change in schedule for the 2025 intermediate annual examinations.

As per the chairman’s instructions, the exams will now commence on May 5, a shift from the initially planned date of April 28.

The determination to adjust the examination dates stems from a couple of key factors, as per the official announcement.

Reasons for Postponement
  • The board is currently involved in the process of allocating grace marks to all candidates who participated in the 2024 first-year annual exams for Science Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, and Science General groups. This specifically applies to the subjects of Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. This undertaking has impacted preparations for the forthcoming exams.
  • Several examination centers are presently in use for the ongoing matriculation exams, which began on April 8 and are scheduled to continue until May 8.

Adjusting the intermediate exam start date was deemed necessary to guarantee the seamless operation of the examination system and ensure the availability of suitable exam centers.

Students, educational institutions, and parents are advised to proceed with their preparations in accordance with the updated timetable.
