Jay Shetty Open to Officiating Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s Wedding

Jay Shetty, the 37-year-old former monk and current podcaster, has indicated he would be willing to officiate the wedding of Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco. Shetty has previously officiated ceremonies for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, as well as Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker.

Shetty mentioned he is awaiting “the call” from the couple.

During his appearance on the TV program Extra, host Billy Bush questioned Shetty about whether Gomez and Blanco had reached out to him regarding officiating their wedding. Shetty replied, “Not currently, no. We’ll see if they reach out, but as of now, no.”

Shetty also shared, “I recently officiated Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker’s wedding about eighteen months ago, which was a truly beautiful occasion.”

This inquiry followed Shetty’s invitation to the “Calm Down” singer and the record producer to appear on his podcast, On Purpose, where they openly discussed their relationship.

Gomez shared her feelings about Blanco at the time, stating, “When I fell for Benny, it was because everything about him felt genuine. He openly shares his feelings with me.”

Shetty reflected on hosting one of America’s beloved couples on his podcast, noting, “It was wonderful that they chose On Purpose as the exclusive platform to discuss their relationship. It was truly special.”
