IT Services Exports Rise by 24% in July 2025
ISLAMABAD: In July of the fiscal year 2025-26, Pakistan’s information technology (IT) and IT-enabled services (ITeS) exports, which include computer and call center services, experienced a growth of approximately 24%. Remittances reached $354 million, compared to $286 million during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
According to recent statistics, IT export remittances saw an increase of about 5% on a month-over-month basis in July 2025, reaching $354 million, up from $339 million in June 2025.
Pakistan’s IT and ITeS exports have demonstrated substantial expansion, showing nearly an 18% surge in FY 2024-25, culminating in $3.810 billion. This upswing is within a broader context, with the IT sector recognized as one of the most rapidly advancing sectors of the national economy.

The government had aimed for $4.2 billion in IT exports for 2025 but fell short by roughly $400 million. The current fiscal year’s IT export target has been established by the government at $5 billion.
The IT ministry has pinpointed several obstacles, such as inconsistent policies, taxation problems, and banking challenges, that are impeding the nation’s information technology sector from realizing its export potential of around $15 billion.
