Security Forces Eliminate 13 Terrorists in Balochistan Operations

In two separate intelligence-driven operations (IBOs) conducted in Balochistan, security forces successfully neutralized 13 terrorists supported by India, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). These operations took place in the Quetta and Kech regions between September 30 and October 1, acting on information regarding terrorist presence.

The military’s media wing reported that the slain terrorists were affiliated with groups referred to as “Fitna al-Khwarij” and “Fitna al-Hindustan,” designations frequently used for the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), respectively.

Quetta Operation Details

During the IBO in Quetta, forces effectively targeted the terrorists’ location. A fierce exchange of fire resulted in the elimination of 10 terrorists backed by India, stated ISPR.

Kech Operation Details

Another IBO in the Kech district led to the dismantling of a terrorist hideout, where three terrorists, identified as part of “Fitna al Hindustan” and supported by India, were successfully neutralized.

Recovered Materials

The statement mentioned the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the deceased terrorists, who were actively involved in various terrorist activities.

Furthermore, security forces apprehended four terrorists linked to the Indian proxy group, “Fitna al Hindustan,” as they attempted to escape in disguise in women’s clothing in the Khuzdar district.

The military’s media wing added that a sanitisation operation is underway to clear the area of any remaining terrorists.

“Pakistan’s security forces are committed to eradicating terrorism sponsored by India from the country and reiterate the nation’s unwavering commitment to bringing terrorists to justice,” the statement concluded.

These operations occurred a day after a suicide attack near the FC headquarters in the provincial capital caused 11 deaths.

A report by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) indicated a 74% increase in terror incidents in Pakistan in August compared to July.

The Islamabad-based think tank documented 194 deaths from militant attacks during the same month.

Pakistan, along with China, Iran, and Russia, has recently voiced serious concerns regarding the presence of terrorist groups operating from Afghanistan, including Al-Qaeda, the banned TTP, the BLA, and other similar entities.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) are conducting IBOs nationwide as part of the government’s efforts to combat terrorism.
