Islamabad Police Honors Pakistan Armed Forces’ Triumph with Unity and Pride

In a moving display of national solidarity, Islamabad Police celebrated the historic triumph of the Pakistan Armed Forces in what has been hailed as the “battle for truth.” Under the visionary leadership of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, a series of commemorative events were held across the capital to express deep respect and unwavering support for the country’s defenders.

The celebrations began with all Islamabad Police buildings being illuminated from the previous night, symbolizing hope, resilience, and national pride. After Fajr prayers, Quran recitation took place at the central mosque of the Police Lines Headquarters, followed by heartfelt prayers across all police stations and divisions after Friday prayers for the success and safety of the armed forces and for the eternal peace of Pakistan’s martyrs.

At the heart of the ceremonies, IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi hoisted the national flag at Police Lines Headquarters and offered a ceremonial salute. Accompanied by senior police officials, he laid a floral wreath at the martyrs’ memorial and offered prayers, honoring the ultimate sacrifices of Pakistan’s brave sons.

Addressing the occasion, IGP Rizvi said, “The Armed Forces of Pakistan crushed the enemy’s arrogance in this battle for truth. Every member of Islamabad Police salutes their valor. Defending the nation is the sacred duty of every Pakistani.”

He lauded the armed forces’ professional response and underscored that their bravery has added a golden chapter in military history. “The supreme sacrifices of our martyrs will never be forgotten,” he affirmed. “This victory belongs not only to our armed forces but to every patriotic citizen of Pakistan.”

In a poignant gesture of remembrance, senior officers also visited the families of fallen heroes, laid floral wreaths at their graves, and prayed for their eternal peace. “Living nations never forget the sacrifices of their heroes,” they stated, reinforcing the police department’s enduring commitment to honoring its martyrs.

Further commemorating the occasion, different wings of Islamabad Police actively participated in the Youm-e-Tashakur event at F-9 Park. Informative stalls were set up to showcase police services, public safety initiatives, and traffic management strategies, engaging citizens in the department’s community outreach efforts.

In another symbolic tribute, members of the Friends of Police internship program joined Islamabad Police officers for a solidarity walk at Police Lines Headquarters. They too paid homage at the martyrs’ memorial, reinforcing the bond between the youth and national institutions.

Meanwhile, under the direction of DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, officers and personnel conducted a solemn and powerful flag march to honor the unparalleled courage of Pakistan’s armed forces.

The Islamabad Police’s heartfelt celebrations serve as a strong reminder of the unity, resilience, and unwavering patriotism that binds Pakistan’s institutions and its people in moments of triumph and remembrance.
