In a significant move to modernize and humanize policing in the federal capital, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office, Islamabad, focusing on ongoing reforms aimed at improving police service delivery and public satisfaction.
The meeting was attended by key law enforcement officials, including DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DG Safe City Shakir Hussain Dawar, and other senior officers. The discussion centered on making Islamabad Police more responsive, citizen-friendly, and professionally efficient.
During the session, IGP Rizvi emphasized the importance of immediate and transparent service at police stations, calling for a people-centric approach across all police departments. He issued clear instructions to all officers to conduct surprise visits to police stations and internal departments, ensuring that ground realities are accurately assessed and quick corrective measures are implemented where needed.
The IGP also focused on strengthening the investigation wing, directing officers to enhance its effectiveness to guarantee timely justice and transparency in case handling. “Immediate provision of justice, professional conduct, and transparent inquiries must be the cornerstone of police work,” IGP Rizvi asserted during the meeting.
Under his visionary leadership, Islamabad Police is undergoing a transformative phase, adopting new strategies and operational models to meet the needs of modern policing.
