Islamabad: In a continued effort to strengthen citizen trust and improve service delivery, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an open court at the Central Police Office Islamabad, personally listening to the concerns of citizens and police personnel.
During the interactive session, IGP Rizvi issued on-the-spot directives to senior officers for the timely and merit-based resolution of complaints. Emphasizing the importance of responsiveness, he stated, “Resolving citizens’ issues on merit is our top priority. Negligence and carelessness will not be tolerated. My office remains open to the public at all times.”
He instructed all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to strictly follow designated office hours and ensure prompt redressal of public grievances. Officers have been directed to submit follow-up reports to the Central Police Office regarding resolved cases.
IGP Rizvi further added that open courts serve as an effective platform to address public concerns swiftly, enabling direct communication between citizens and senior officials. “We are implementing citizen-focused reforms to make Islamabad Police a truly service-oriented force,” he said.
In line with these reforms, zonal officers and SHOs across Islamabad have also been instructed to meet with citizens regularly and address their concerns professionally, transparently, and within a defined timeframe.
These efforts reflect IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi’s commitment to a people-centric policing model that upholds accountability, transparency, and public satisfaction.
