In line with his commitment to transparent and citizen-centric policing, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held an open court at the Central Police Office to directly address the concerns of citizens and police personnel.

During the session, the IGP listened attentively to various complaints and issued on-the-spot directives to senior officers for swift, merit-based resolution. He emphasized that public service is the core responsibility of the police force and that negligence or carelessness in official duties will not be tolerated.

“Resolving citizens’ issues on merit is our top priority. My office is always open for the people of Islamabad,” the IGP stated.

He directed all SDPOs and SHOs to strictly observe designated office hours and ensure that citizens’ concerns are addressed promptly and transparently. The IGP further stressed that officers must report back to the Central Police Office within the given timelines regarding the status of each case.

Highlighting ongoing efforts to enhance public facilitation, the IGP noted:

“The daily holding of open courts is an important step in prioritizing the timely resolution of public issues and strengthening police-community relations.”

All zonal officers and station house officers have been instructed to continue engaging with the public regularly and uphold the principles of merit, service, and accountability in their operations.
