Islamabad, May 2025 — In line with the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has significantly enhanced security protocols in the Diplomatic Enclave to ensure the safety of embassies, UN offices, ambassadorial residences, and key government properties.
Personnel from the Islamabad Police, particularly those from the Security Division, are actively performing their duties to uphold peace and protect sensitive sites within this high-security zone.
SSP Security Division Muhammad Sarfraz Virk issued strict instructions to officers deployed in the area, stressing that no negligence would be tolerated in the performance of duty. He underscored the need for:
- Complete registration and verification of all individuals entering the enclave
- Thorough checking of vehicles and motorcycles
- Mandatory carrying of departmental ID cards by government employees
- Full cooperation with police during the search and verification process
“All available resources are being utilized to secure the federal capital, with special attention to the Diplomatic Enclave,” stated SSP Virk.
The Islamabad Police has also urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals or activities by contacting the Pucar-15 emergency helpline.
Ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property remains a top priority for the Islamabad Police, as efforts continue to strengthen law enforcement in critical zones of the capital.
