A man in Karachi was deceived and robbed of his car after an imposter posing as a legitimate buyer gained his trust. The victim received a message from an unknown number, expressing serious interest in purchasing his Honda. After negotiating a meeting, the imposter offered a high price and requested an overnight stay at the seller’s home to inspect the vehicle the next morning.

Trusting the arrangement, the seller agreed. However, the next morning the buyer had vanished—and with him, the car. Authorities have registered a case, warning the public about this emerging method of auto sale fraud. Sellers are advised to avoid overnight meetups, verify buyer identities, insist on test drives in public locations, involve trusted peers, and use secure payment methods to guard against scams.

This incident highlights the need for increased caution and stricter safety measures when conducting private vehicle sales to prevent fraud and protect personal assets.
