IGATEX Pakistan’s 23rd Edition Opens in Karachi

The 23rd iteration of IGATEX Pakistan, recognized as a premier textile and garment machinery exhibition in South Asia, commenced on Wednesday at the Karachi Expo Centre.

The three-day event, managed by Fakt Exhibitions, features participation from over 450 companies representing more than 30 nations. It serves as a vibrant hub for innovation, collaborative trade efforts, and the exchange of technological advancements within the textile industry.

Sindh’s Senior Minister for Local Government & Housing Town Planning, Saeed Ghani, officially launched the exhibition. He emphasized the critical need to modernize Pakistan’s textile and garment sector to sustain competitiveness in the global arena.

“This exhibition is instrumental in upgrading Pakistan’s textile and garment industry through the introduction of the latest technologies. Embracing new technology is essential for enhancing both quality and productivity, which are vital for boosting our export capabilities,” he stated.

Ghani also acknowledged the established history of IGATEX, highlighting its 23-year contribution and ongoing significance in fostering industrial growth. He added, “Featuring 700 international delegates and over 450 participating companies, both international and local, IGATEX is a key resource for knowledge and industry exposure. It not only displays cutting-edge innovation but also reinforces Pakistan’s standing in the international textile supply network.”

The exhibition showcases advanced machinery, automated systems, and sustainable solutions designed for the textile and garment industries. It aims to transform the integration of intelligent systems into local manufacturers’ production processes.

Saleem Khan Tanoli, CEO of Fakt Exhibitions, conveyed his optimism regarding the event’s capacity to revolutionize the sector.
