ICC Announces Warm-Up Schedule for Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule for the preparatory matches leading up to the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

A total of nine matches are scheduled to take place across four different locations from September 25 to 28. These matches will serve as a prelude to the main tournament, which is slated to be held from September 30 to November 2.

All eight teams that have qualified for the World Cup will participate in these warm-up games. Each team will play two matches, with the exception of Australia, who are slated to participate in only one.

The venues selected for these warm-up matches include the Centre of Excellence Ground and the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, India, along with the R. Premadasa Stadium and the Colombo Cricket Club Ground in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

India ‘A’ and Sri Lanka ‘A’ will also be a part of the warm-up phase. India ‘A’ is scheduled to play one match, while Sri Lanka ‘A’ will participate in two.

The warm-up matches begin on September 25, featuring a match between India and England in Bengaluru, along with South Africa against New Zealand at the same venue. Simultaneously, in Colombo, Sri Lanka will face Pakistan, while Bangladesh will compete against Sri Lanka ‘A’.

On September 27, Australia will play their only warm-up match against England. Additional matches on the same day include Sri Lanka versus Bangladesh and India against New Zealand.

The warm-up phase will conclude on September 28, with South Africa facing India ‘A’ and Pakistan playing against Sri Lanka ‘A’.
