WWE Mourns the Loss of Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan
Terry Bollea, globally recognized as Hulk Hogan, a celebrated professional wrestler and WWE Hall of Famer, has reportedly passed away at the age of 71, according to international news outlets on Thursday.
Reports indicate that paramedics responded to an emergency call at the WWE legend’s Clearwater, Florida home on Thursday morning due to a cardiac arrest.
Further details suggest that the former WWE champion was seen being transported on a stretcher to a nearby medical facility via ambulance.
WWE issued a formal statement expressing their condolences on the demise of Hogan, a six-time world titleholder within the organization.
“WWE is deeply saddened by the news that WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away,” the sports entertainment company announced.
“As one of the most iconic figures in popular culture, Hogan played a pivotal role in WWE’s rise to worldwide prominence during the 1980s.”
“WWE extends its deepest sympathies to Hogan’s family, friends, and countless fans.”
It’s worth noting that Hogan underwent significant heart surgery in June.
This unfortunate announcement follows recent statements from his wife, Sky, who refuted claims that he was in a coma, affirming the strength of her husband’s heart following his recovery from surgery.
Earlier in the year, rumors surfaced suggesting Hulk Hogan was gravely ill; however, sources close to the wrestling icon had reassured the public that he was in good health.
