In Manama, Bahrain, Pakistan’s promising snooker talents, Hasnain Akhtar and Ahsan Ramzan, continued their impressive performance by securing their second successive group-stage victories at the ongoing IBSF World Under-21 Snooker Championship on Sunday.

Hasnain Akhtar’s Dominant Performance

Hasnain showcased exceptional skill in a lopsided match, overpowering Sri Lanka’s Khalid Ghazali with convincing frame scores of 100-01, 111-01, and 67-40.

Previous Victory

Prior to this, he had triumphed over Hong Kong’s Ka Long Ping 3-0 in his initial match, signaling a strong presence in the competition.

Ahsan Ramzan’s Winning Streak

Ahsan also continued his triumphant journey in the Under-21 category. The former world champion recorded a definitive 3-0 win against India’s Bhavya Pepaliya, achieving frame scores of 98-04, 54-32, and 57-46.

Pakistani snooker athletes previously demonstrated their prowess on the international stage when Muhammad Asif, Hasnain, and Ahsan achieved significant victories in their opening matches at the World 6-Red Snooker Championship in Manama, Bahrain, on Saturday.

The Pakistani trio exhibited remarkable form in the short-format competition, overcoming their global competitors without conceding a single frame.

Muhammad Asif’s Accomplishments

Experienced cueist Muhammad Asif delivered an impeccable showing against Ireland’s J. Chopra.

Ahsan Ramzan extended his victorious streak by defeating Oman’s Sami Al-Hamrashdi with a compelling 4-0 result.

Additionally, Muhammad Asif recently added to his accolades by narrowly defeating India’s Brijesh Damani 4-3 to claim the IBSF World Masters Snooker Championship title, hosted at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain.

Hasnain’s Victory in IBSF World U17 Championship

In another significant achievement, Hasnain secured the IBSF World U17 Championship title, prevailing over Poland’s Riley Powell 4-0 in the final.

The in-form cueist only dropped one frame throughout the entire tournament and dominated the final match with frame scores of 86-7, 73-35, 50-32, and 98-4.

With this triumph, Hasnain became the first Pakistani player to secure the IBSF World Championship in the U17 category.
